A new professional social network for tech pros
I’m really intrigued by this site. It has a terrific design, which immediately puts it ahead of LinkedIn. What’s particularly interesting though are the different ways to become engaged. The $10,000/month prize money for top content is a great example of this. Really looking forward to seeing where this site goes.

Greaser at Bessie Mine, AL
Found this picture on Shorpy, a blog for historic photos. I could spend all day looking at the pictures. I’m impressed that most seem to include a high res version as well. Very cool stuff!
Why Jimmy Bogard is done with Scrum
This is a very interesting read. I don’t agree completely with his solution, but I’ve certainly seen some of the pain points that he mentions. Definitely a useful exercise to constantly evaluate what you’re doing, even when it’s something that’s quite popular (maybe especially when it’s quite popular).
Hanselman’d – How to take a good screenshot
This is a great blog post from Scott Hanselman. He’s got lots of tips on how to take screenshots that don’t look like pure garbage.
Learning how to develop for SharePoint
Lots of stuff to learn!
Agile whitepapers, etc from 21apps
This looks like a pretty good collection of resources for things pertaining to XP (Agile, TDD, CI, etc). What’s extra nice about this is the focus on these things in light of Sharepoint. I’ll be doing Sharepoint development with my new job, so this could be very useful for me.
NIT Bracket
It can be very hard to keep up with the NIT tourney since it’s not the “Big Dance”. This page on ESPN shows the bracket with game results and links to the teams and game recaps.
Git in colour
This is a way you can use colors in Git without including a third party utility. Pretty nifty.
W3Fools
This is an interesting website aimed at correcting the misinformation that is shared by w3schools.com. Anyone doing web searches for html related content has undoubtedly seen w3schools. The problem is that much of the information is just not accurate.
